Confirmed: Fark.com uses shadow bans

Our brave test account has been provocative on Fark.com for some time, and today we got confirmation that Fark uses the "shadow ban," or displaying the user's posts to that user, but to no one else:

You can see the full page comparisons here (original, shadowbanned).

  1. I commented on your post about the origins and agenda of 'racist'. I have a question as to the date 'racist' was first used. You have the date 1930, and the argument is it was first used in 1927. This needs to be verified so the difference in dates cannot be used to manipulate the argument away from the true agenda of using 'racist'.
    Thanks

Your first link seems to be directed to a non-relevant Lifehacker article instead of the title of the site that is mentioned.

I wonder how long a Fark shadowban lasts. I am the latest victim.
