He makes a good point: a god that tells you whatever you want to hear is not a god, but yourself. It is like the television advertisements that tell you what you wish were true so that you buy the product. Seriously, this beer will turn you into a sexy hunk, which would normally require working out two hours a day and some plastic surgery. But this beer? It'll do it right away. Same with gods. You either get one that is timeless truth, or one that is a television commercial.
