Outside the window: a squirrel staring in at me. Big eyes; we think he's cute because he is so obvious and exaggerated to us, we can empathize. And then we feel the world empathizes with us in turn. Except: it is empty and mechanical, yet beautiful. Paradox deconstructs the deconstructive mind.
